The Claus Hedegaard Mineral Collection

In 2010 I aquired the mineral collection of Claus Hedegaard. His collection was one-of-a-kind in Denmark with more than 14,000 individually labelled specimens of both high quality museum sized specimens and small samples of more scientific value. Some pf the best specimens aare listed below:

- Museum sized Fluorite specimens from England

- Silver specimens from the famous mining district Kongsberg, Norway - several collected in the 19th zentury

- Aegirine with Orthoclase specimens from Mt. Malosa, Malawi

- Azurite, Malachite, Dioptase, Ludlockite, Smithsonite, Cerussite specimens from Tumeb, Namibia

- Quartz with Calcite, Samsonite and Pyrargyrite specimen from 29. Firste des Samsoner Ganges, St. Andreasberg, Harz, Germany

- Cryolite crystals, Thomsenolite, Ralstonite, Tugtupite and rare mineral specimens from Greenland
